Apple stopped iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales in China

Effective immediately, Apple is issued an order to stop selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in China.

Why does this need to stop its iPhone 6 sales?

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus appeared like a Chinese competitor's style. If Apple copied the Chinese brand and made itself a huge lawsuit on the same country that sells the alleged original smartphone design, this ended up as.

The smartphone in question is the 100C, a device made by Shenzhen Beili. This appears like a very close resemblance to the iPhone 6's concept. Apple lost and for the meantime ordered to stop its smartphone sales in the world's largest market.

Apple makes an appeal

Apple is not having any one of this and sales will continue for the time being since the administrative order is still remaining as just an appeal. It was sent out last May 2016 and was reported just currently.

Stocks reduced for Apple

Shares for Apple dropped by 2.3% right after the news emerged according to Sky News. For a company that is trying to reclaim domination over the smartphone business around the world, this is not really a great sign. The iPhone 6 was the greatest Apple could offer to the buyers with its new design.

Much more drawbacks

Apple has been having a bumpy ride in the Chinese market with the revocation of the iTunes movie service last April. China is it's next biggest global market and undoubtedly the greatest stumbling block for the Curpertino-based tech giant.

If Apple is to sell its future devices like the iPhone 7, competition from the rising Chinese companies like Huawei and Xiaomi is also a thing to consider.

In May, Apple suffered another setback when a court ruled that a Chinese company is permitted to use the iPhone trademark on bags, wallets and other leather goods.

Apple lost and for the meantime ordered to stop its smartphone sales in the world's largest market.

Shares for Apple plummeted by 2.3% right after the news surfaced according to Sky News. The iPhone 6 was the best Apple could offer to the consumers with its new design.

Why did Apple get rid of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7?

posted Nov 7, 2016, 1:14 AM by Customer Service   [ updated Nov 7, 2016, 1:17 AM ]

Why is it gone in the new iPhone?

Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller said the firm had been motivated by "courage" to get eliminate of the headphone jack.

The word is Courage

Schiller said on stage: "Some people have asked us why we would remove the analogue headphone jack. It's been with us a really very long time and it comes down to one word: courage. Our team has tremendous courage."

Space saving measures

That's just marketing speech - which has already become a joke on social media sites - but Schiller's follow up offers more insight into why the iPhone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack. He said, "our smartphones are packed with technologies, faster processors ... plus all of it fights for space."

That extra space, although very little, is being used to pack extra tech into the iPhone 7. That's clear from the dimensions of the phone - the lack of a headphone jack hasn't made the iPhone 7 thinner, it's still 7.1 mm like the iPhone 6S.

Instead, Apple is using the freed up space for extra technologies, likely emphasised on the A10 Fusion processor and battery cell.

They are going wireless

Why maintain a space-taking single purpose analogue connector, which has been used in tech since 1964? You don't, depending on Apple, with the company instead looking towards a wireless future.

Dongles, dongles, dongles

You'll get a pair of Lightning EarPods in package of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. These are similar as the EarPods you've had in the box with previous iPhones, but they're designed for use with the Lightning port rather than a traditional 3.5 mm jack.

That means if you're reliant on headphones you won't have the chance to listen to music on your phone and charge it at the same time.

Each phone will also ship with a Lightning to 3.5 mm adaptor, so you can continue using your wired headphones with the handset. The adaptor doesn't look great, it gives you an extra cable to carry around, and it's mosting likely to be annoying when listening to music on the go.

Plus, if you lose it, Apple will charge you $9 (₤ 9, AU$ 12) for a replacement.
